Centenary Anniversary Service

On April 7, 2013 the Rugby Deliverance Tabernacle celebrated its official Centenary Anniversary Service. Archbishop Dr. Sidley Mullings, the Senior Pastor and the 26th pastor of the church, conducted this historic event. The sanctuary was filled to capacity and the overflow was seated in the

Marguerite Grotte Auditorium to view the service on a large screen. The service was full of praise and worship, liturgical dance, scripture readings and singing. Rev. Althea McFarlane gave an inspired and anointed message which moved the congregation into shouts of praise and celebration. She is the Assistant Bishop of the Holiness Christian Church of Jamaica and senior pastor of The Black River Holiness Christian Church. Archbishop Mullings received several citations from many public officials including New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, US Senator Charles Schumer, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Assemblyman Nick Perry and City Council Member Jumaane Williams.

The church also received greetings from several members of the clergy including Bishop Noel Gibbs from Ensom City Holiness Christian Church of Jamaica, Rev. Dr. Edly Roper of the New Life Church of God of Brooklyn, NY, Rev. Livingston Gibbs of the Holiness Christian Church of the Bronx NY, Dr. O. A. Soogun of Life Center Bible Church of Midrand, South Africa and Bishop Pauline Borland of God’s Healing and Holiness Christian Church.  At the closure of this historic service, Archbishop Mullings expressed his appreciation to all as he charged the congregation to continue to “Celebrate the Past, Transform the Present and Impact the Future”.
